We need a nasty RHS D.
His career high in goals before last year was 6. I like him be I expect a huge points drop off without Kucherov.

not sure how it will pan out but it’s a great risk for the Leafs to take. Their D is moribund

8 years deal for a guy that has been a NHL regular for 3 seasons and just had an outlier of a career year is a risky gamble at best.
If he'd had 2 or 3 seasons like last year he'd be getting $12m. It's a great gamble at $8.5m. You don't fluke into that type of season.

JT Miller is a notorious cunt. He is toxic. Hughes left because he didn't want to play for a bottom team.
For one season you can fluke your way into it.
Hos points per 60 was similar the season before. He just got more opportunities. It's a good gamble... but still a gamble.

I wouldn't want either on my team, in the dressing room the players were divided between Miller and Petterson, when push came to shove they made the trade, however they traded the wrong player..
