Came here to say that I don't think in my time as a fan I've ever seen a more impressive start to a playoffs series considering the round, the opponent, etc.....now it makes sense why.

I don't care what the deserve o meter says, or that they doubled us in shot attempts.
It felt like we had the game under control as soon as we first tied it. We got just enough goaltending and just enough Matthews to get by, but imagine if we got both Woll and Matty at full capacity. I think prime Woll is warming up, at least, and was just a bit rusty.

it's only the second round, but this is a win to legitimately feel good about. we took that from them. they wanted the split same as every team but the Leafs got it done.

If there is something this team has been incredibly, generationally good at in the Matthews era, it has been letting a beat opponent up off of the mat instead of stepping on their neck. It feels good being the team that didn't give up the back breaking go ahead muffin.
