Yeah crippled Matthews is still awesome and he's still doing a great job. But holy shit he looks crippled. Even beyond the playoff mental block thing, his physical deficiencies are way easier to spot in a playoff situation.
 
After reflecting on this one, this hurts. They had full control of the game. We knew Florida was going to push but up 2-0 and then 3-1 in the 2nd period, you've gotta win the game.

I hate making these bold hot take statements and it's probably not that true, but for now it sure feels like winner of next game wins the series.
 
It was never gonna be a sweep isn't a good enough reason for me to be upset I think. Up 2 in the 2nd period, my expectation is to win the game.

But overall I'm encouraged enough by their play and by Bob's play to believe that they can do this.

coming back to tie it in the 3rd was encouraging.

and yeah, the Cats still seemed nervous. needed a few bounces to go their way. didn't really dominate us. game 4 will be big
 
It was the 2nd period that disappointed me. They didn't just get outplayed (which was to be expected with Florida playing for their lives), but they got destroyed.

Other than that, I felt the leafs mostly dictated the play. Nothing to be discouraged by, but still disappointing to not weather the 2nd period storm a bit better.

Oh and both teams got bounces and scored goals where the goalie shoulda had it.
 
Now we hope and pray that zeke ends up in Florida and not El Salvador to give the leafs a bit of extra juice for game 4. I'm doubtful on that. I don't expect him to be in attendance. But it may help if he was.
