AFCON final: Senegal 0-0 Egypt
(Senegal win 4-2 on penalties)

Mostly drab performance by both sides, punctuated with some good stops by both keepers and an errant penalty early on by Senegal's Sadio Mane. Fortunately for him (and Senegal), he made amends on the fifth spot kick, clinching the first-ever AFCON title for Senegal.

Good on Senegal. Their program's quality and depth deserves a trophy. People under estimate just how much other stuff goes into winning in AFCON, but every so often the tournament manages to reward a team of true quality rather than the one with the best survival skills.
