Around the League 2019-2025 Edition

I'm not saying he's right or wrong... but Nick was absolutely the most valuable player to the Habs, and it wasn't close. Was he more valuable to the Habs than Helly was to the Jets? Probably not, but I can see where someone may have thought he was. I see he had nine 5th place votes, certainly, one of the top 5 is reasonable.
I guess it depends if people are voting based on the "most valuable to his team" comments or just for best player.

If its most valuable to his team then anyone on a deep roster with high-end talent wouldn't be in the mix and it would be bubble teams with 1 player excelling. Was Suzuki more valuable to mtl than gus was to Minnesota?

Yes.

I'm all for amazing player on bad team getting consideration, but by the same logic I don't think Suzuki was by far the best player on the Habs. Hutson made a massive impact. Suzuki wasn't significantly better than last year. The Habs big jump was by adding a legit top end dman.
Suzuki was a PPG player this season.

Habs get treated with such kiddie gloves it's adorbs.

You think any Leaf got a hint of an mvp vote when they first made the playoffs eith 95pts in 2017? Lmao no of course not.
Because the voters knew even back then that the Leafs were a fraud. It's taken Leafs fans another 8 years to catch up to this reality and some of them still haven't accepted it.

And this is why it's such a tough award to vote on. So subjective and almost impossible to quantify.

One homer gives him the top vote and zeke has a conniption.
