It’s been nice having been given a reason for at least a wee bit of hope that we might keep our pick and add a top prospect to this group.

But yeah, mentally the approach I’ve been taking all along is that it’ll be a very pleasant surprise if that happens, and my expectation is that we’ll finish 5th last, get bumped back to 6th by Florida winning the lottery for 1st overall, and our 6th overall pick will then go to the Bruins.

Or hell, at this point maybe it’ll be less dramatic than that and Seattle will just lose out to finish their season, and the Leafs will win their last game against the Sens to drop to 6th.
