Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Weakest division in the league with an easy road to the CFs. Lets see how he does against the Avs.

Also shows how shit the Oilers truly are.
 
it was a game 3. Mitch has never had any problem scoring in game 3s that I'm aware of.

the only outlier from his Toronto days this season is game 6 vs Utah where he actually scored a couple goals.
 
Like...it's wild. Both Mitch's first round opponent and his second round opponent would've finished out of the playoffs by eight points if they were in the Eastern conference. The Ducks also finished with 11 fewer regulation wins than the top-ranking Eastern team that missed the playoffs (The Caps). Such an easy road, and also a demonstration of how easy the Oilers had it during their two finals runs.
 
None of us should care what he does anywhere else. What we know is that he couldn't do it here and we know Toronto is uniquely difficult from a perceived pressure standpoint.

We need players that can do it here (against the perennial meat grinder our division is) and an organization that understands how to provide the support players need to perform under the pressure here. The organization seems to have figured that out (and brought mats back to start addressing that side of it).

Onward and upward. I'm glad we're not paying him 13+ to be a whiny bitch here anymore. It was a few years past due.

I mean, I won't lie that I'm petty as fuck and would love nothing more than for Mitch to experience nothing but miserable failure for the rest of his career. But at the same time, nothing he could possibly do in Vegas will make me miss him or wish he was still here.
