It would have been absurd for anyone else to get a first place vote. That was as impressive a rookie season as I can recall. Maybe more impressive than Selanne... maybe.

Yes it would absolutely hurt if you flopped into a butt end. Could have sworn he suffered a broken bone is his face from the reaction, maybe he did?
There's plenty of overreactions out there to laugh at. This was a guy getting a stick to the face, going down, then getting up and heading to the bench and the trainers checking him over. There was no writhing around on the ground kicking his feet. It was pretty basic.
I'm probably biased but nothing seemed out of the ordinary there.
