Things went sideways once Ruff changed his lines and MSL didn’t (sufficiently) adjust.

Prior to that I think the Habs were OK.

They’re winning because of goaltending and opportunistic scoring. Nothing magical about it.

It is for a franchise that has lacked both for decades.

To win a cup, you must get a set of near-perfect conditions in addition to some luck. So far the Habs have both. It hasn't been an easy path, but if there was ever a year to be slightly competitive in either conference, this was the year. Just 2 super elite teams in the NHL this year, which is the lowest it's been in a good while. If you are good enough to be in that second tier (which the Habs are), you've got a real chance.

His personality is dreadful and I now totally understand why his teammates always hated him and felt he was all for show and craved attention.
