I would think Stolarz would be the one traded, if they did sign Bob. I just can't imagine any team in any situation signing him to the ridiculous contract he's asking for. 2 x 5.5 is the absolute max, and even then I wouldn't do it.

Well he was shit last year, but he’s been solid for a long time and has been one of the best playoff goalies. 2nd in GSAx over the last 5 years in the playoffs.

I’d be only a bit underwhelmed at Jenner but I’d be pretty pissed at Bob.

Yeah, I seem to be in the minority on Jenner around here. But I have no interest in him at all. Even if we brought him in on a one-year NHL-minimum deal, I’d be a bit bummed out by that.

But he’s almost certainly going to cost real money and at least 3-4 years of term, and he’ll be a broken-down, shitty, injury-plagued dissapointment from day one.

And as is tradition for guys we overpay on to fill the 3C role, we’d probably quickly discover he can no longer effectively play center and move him over to the wing.
