They might be in a bind? Very top heavy, but otherwise a meh, shallow roster. No big dollars coming off the books and, by all accounts, a very poor pipeline. They’ve accumulated some picks with their sell off, but they ain’t exactly rolling in draft capital either.

Both NYR and CBJ have slightly harder schedules. Crucially, they only playing each other once more (tomorrow), so that’s it for guaranteed points among rivals.

I’m assuming Ottawa is in and NJD seem to be averting disaster. So it’s three team fit one spot.
