At what point do we look at the GM...

Another classic dodge, duck, dip, dive & dodge:

“Detroit’s a good drafting team right? Well Riley Sheehan was selected what 15th?...draft is a gamble” - on McCarron

If it's all luck and good fortune, and there's not much that a GM can do, why do the Canadiens even need one?

I would love for MB to show up at one of these pressers and pull one of these:

He was a riot, actually went through every game and made specific excuses for every loss (disallowed goals, bad bounces, etc)

My favourite was "Matthews outstanding!" He said this while answering in French -- his command of the language is grade 5 level. Another linguistic highlight "les jouers Squeeze, les debuts Shaky"
Pas d'excuse!

The more important issue is this: they have to translate to their viewers what an English coach is saying in an interview....so more work on their end, and they often have limited time to get the sound bites after a game, and then post it on social media or TV.

Francois Gagnon explained this last year....he said it's hell when they have to translate everything to the viewers in French, instead of just putting a video of Therrien/Julien explaining things in French

Sure, and for a coach who speaks before and after every game... thats 164 media scrums plus after practice, plus after playoff games, plus pre-season, plus other events.... its 250-300 times a year.

The GM meets with the media 4-5 times a season.

One rule that Bozovin and Timmins sycophants follow is that when the draft choice turns out well, it shows how great they are, when the player fails, it is either on the player, like Galchenyuk or "all teams make mistakes"

I have never seen a Habs GM looking for excuses as much as this guy does, i mean some failed, once in a while they blamed some factors to their failures(like injuries, etc), but man just watch his 20 minutes press conference today, he looks nervous and ONLY looking for excuses. How you want your teams inspire from the NO EXCUSE slogan when yourself are full of it?

He keep saying 1000 times that he has Hawks as role model organisation, look at Bowman at the end of last year playoff, he said we make sure this doesn't repeat, it wasn't acceptable, he only blamed himself and his staffs, did he need to say that after years of success? Excuse is only for losers.
