Man, I hope that means they have plans for that cap space. It sucks to do a warrior like him dirty unless it's necessary. If we get rid of him and just ride with $5m in cap space, it's an unnecessary move.

the weirder thing said today was Laine affirming he was healthy at some point in early 2026. won't the league be upset that the Habs left him on LTIR and potentially circumvented the cap?
I always felt guilty saying he shouldn't play as he was my mom's favourite player. Last game she went to with us was 2019 and when we scored, she said, you saw who passed it didn't you.
