Did Joni Pitkanen retire?

And we made the playoffs three times in those first five years. The latest five years, nary once!
 
Speaking of Pitkanen. I saw him out and about today. I was expecting him to be in a wheelchair, hobbling around on crutches, wearing a cast or brace etc based on all the talk going around. He looked good, walking normally. Hopefully he can recover fully enough to at least enjoy life and chase his kids around! He's a nice guy and I wish him the best.
 
I always like Sean Hill. Nothing fancy, got the job done. Even went out of position (too often) to deliver a check. But he gave solid checks. Not sure if that would be interference in today's NHL (likely) but he did manage to become effective on the PP as mentioned.

He and Curtis Leschyshyn made a crunching combo because both of them just loved to line some sucker forward up and give him a real jolt along the boards. I miss those two.
 
Boy they were so different though, I mean, both physical but if I recall correctly sometimes you'd wonder how Sean Hill could get it done, he was sort of an uber physical AND effective version of Jamie McBain style, very unorthodox, but effective. As for Curtis, wasn't he a pretty good to very good skater?
