I would rather not have given up the 3rd as well, but I don't mind this deal. Anderson is a big body RH shot that could be a Tom Wilson. There are not many players like him. Arguably this is why the premium was paid. I get that Domi was a technically a centre, but he was a flawed centre.

Our RH wing depth before this was: Gallagher, Armia, Weal. This move balances the top 2 lines

Ok, he had labral surgery. So he came back from surgery. That could take 8-10 months to get back to normal. I just hope he gets back to his previous health, but still a risky trade.

forgive my ignorance, but is there actual evidence of Anderson a) holding down a top-6 role with CBJ, and b) succeeding in that role?

pretty sure this guy has been a healthy scratch recently, and a mainstay in the bottom six last year.
