Domi + 3rd pick for Anderson

It looks like Bergevin is tired of the good-at-making-pointless trades narrative, so he's going the bad-but-useful trade route this time. Hopefully it works out.

Anyone check on Sal? I think he just wet himself with excitement. He's been pining for Anderson for a couple years now.

you think a player with 4 points last year signs a big deal as an RFA?

I guarantee you he will.

Josh Anderson has all the leverage in the world to get whatever contract he wants.

You don't trade a bonafied top-6 NHL forward + a pick (implying the Habs gave up the inferior player) for a player who's going to sign short term. His agent will rightly said, he played injured all year and wasn't right. But now that he's had the off-season to heal up, he'll be back to his previous play.

good thing you folks have so much cap space!

although if I'm Bergevin, I would use it on Fleury to further shore up the goaltending depth.

It's clear that Bergevin wants the Habs to be tough to play against physically, it's how Julien liked his team in Boston and apparently he's talked Bergevin into replicating it. Big bruising D with some physical players up front. Meathead hockey.

One good year....and he's 26.

I agree that he will leverage that to bank coin..,risky move by Bergy but it might work out

Go see my back & forth with Sal in the Rumors thread. I'm not a fan of this.

If he is healthy , its a good trade

Domi should do well unless he is still a meathead and Torts tells him to FO

Both are free agents ...simply a transfer of skill for muscle and jam
