GDT #21: 2023/11/30 - The Real 1st Quarter Pole

yeah but I'm not 100% he's the best complement there either. but sure give it a try.

Krok might fit the best tho. maybe.

Or maybe put Bert back up there and try Nicky on the 2nd line.

Yeah, agreed there. Nephews offensive game is fairly well rounded, but he's probably always going to look best as the trigger guy on his line.

Him and Matthews together doesn't feel right on paper, both tend to work best with distributors. But weirder things have happened.

i think this is kind of an exaggeration. imo, he's had good stretches, he'll have to learn to do it more consistently.

Its not an exaggeration at all. He wasn't blowing the doors off on the lower lines and earned a move up to the big line. He got the job by default when Sheldon was pissed off and has been okayish playing next to 2 of the top 10 forwards in the world since getting the job.

I thought Krok was even worse up there than Knies nerdy wise.

And to be clear criticizing knies is not criticizing his future. It's just watching what we've seen so far this year. He's been very good for a guy his age.. very very good, but probably shouldn't be on a 1st line of a cup contender in his current form. I still think he can get there, maybe even this year. He was there last playoff tbh. But right now he's not there. That's it.

So Kampf has been given a bunch of line combos this year and the line has never been good. Even once. He's only ever been good with engvall I think.

4 years. Someone spike his drink at the next corporate event.
