Eh, was a 2-2 game until Batherson scored from below the goal line.

Also, the 1st Batherson goal was off of a soft shot rebound kicked right into the slot. So while it might not have been "the" problem, it was definitely a problem.
 
Split up marner and Matthews. I'm very serious about putting marner and domi together...in particular with Knies.
Give Matthews Robertson or Jarnkrok or Willy on the other side

If we could get a legit 2C or a 2C supreme 3C like a Lindholm for Robertson I'd be highly interested maybe even put Nylander with a Lindholm and Jarnkrok as a 3 line and I think we'd forget about Robertson pretty quick.

At the game tonight again it is so obvious that Brodie is losing steps every game.

Trade him cuz he won't be worth the resign.

I'm still seeing a deal with Calgary.
Brodie, Robertson and Abbruzzesse for Tanev, Lindholm and Psioris or whatever his name is.

And yes, if vladar makes less than Sammy I'd make that swap as well. 😜
 
I’ll honestly be surprised if we see any Calgary/Toronto deals for the foreseeable future.

I suspect Flames ownership want absolutely nothing to do with helping Treliving after the way he fucked their team and cap situation before fleeing town.

The one thing I do agree with Hoss on though is that Brodie is increasingly becoming a problem that needs to be fixed.
 
Dreger saying "omg Treliving is really gonna have to give up the farm for ANY deal with the Flames" on TSN from now til the deadline is pretty perfect for his bro in law in the Flames front office.

They're all wind up merchants. We will simply never see them mea cupla one of these stupid takes and use it to recalibrate their bullshit going forward.

A serious human being and mildly serious journalist would have looked at the Zadorov bit of them talking about how steep the price would be for Toronto to add him, only for him to get traded 2 days later for a 3rd and a ham sandwich and be a bit embarrassed. Then use that embarrassment as a guide for future opinions.

Fucking nope. We're going to be hearing Tanev for Robertson and a 1st, how Nylander's 17 million dollar contract demands are having a negative affect on our deadline deals, etc, etc. Fuck these people, they're all shit.
