It's hard for there to be much Zen in Leafland after their lackluster performance in this series thus far, especially after the total garbage produced in Game 4. Then there's the possibility that Auston Matthews may not play, Willy suffering from migraines, John Tavares face on a milk carton, Marner crying himself to sleep, and the love the franchise has for .890 goaltending.
But math is math, and thanks to the NHL rule that states a team must win 4 games in order to end a series, and with the Bruins having won only 3 games so far, therefore it must be true that the 2023-24 Toronto Maple Leafs are mathematically alive, and still have a small statistical chance of winning the next 3 games and moving on to the next round.
The Team Zen approach is to calmly assess that a loss should guarantee a new coach and a major roster shakeup, and a win means we can continue to cheer on the Blue and White for at least one more game. So send a message to your preferred deity, to tell the boys in blue that yes this FUCKING THING SUCKS, BUT FUCK IT, WE'LL DO IT LIVE!!
In conclusion ... For totally not the last time this season, GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!
