GDT: Canes @ Slugs 1/23 7:00

And Tlusty (Slutty hehe) with the cheapy! Yeah! On to a tough home matinee with visiting Ottawa. Keep it to the medal boys. Overall, they were consistent in this game. Balance, solid effort, from the pipes out.

4 A. Sekera D 1G 2A 3pts +4

Way to burn your former mates Seks! Wonderful and for once this happens in our favour, I might underline!

I'll second HK's assessment, I thought we were sloppy in our own zone for a lot of that game. But we won, but it wasn't pretty, at least in our own zone.

You're probably right come to think of it, plus I only really tuned in around the second period when it was tied 2-2.

Yeah, a win is a win.

LOL, James! You use a line like "what game were you watching?" and then say you tuned in halfway through?!

Our defensive coverage--both on the part of our defensemen and on our forwards coming back--was mediocre at best. This was especially true in the first, when Khudobin bailed us out a few times.

These guys are finding a way to win and winning an unscheduled back-to-back win. They spent an extra night/day on the road. They were solid last night and while sloppy tonight, this was still a good win for this team.

Harrison had a brutal game. Principal assist for the first two Sabre goals.

Bobbled the Ott pass right over his stick and even missed the recovery swipe on the Hodgson breakaway goal.

And then inexplicably swept the puck out from beneath Khudobin's glove, which had the puck partially trapped, causing it to dribble out for Flynn's goal from the crease.

And then J.Staal and Liles lazily loop around for a good view of the Ennis putback of Stafford's shot off the metal.

Giving up three goals to the Sabres isn't good. But scoring five goals is.

Big money goals, although still individual plays more than line plays. But goals nonetheless.

And good on Sekera for sticking it to them with the game-winner. McBain who?
