Predators look to get back to their winning ways.
Hurricanes look to keep atop the Division.

Win Canes!

Man this thread was opened late... I'll take the blame!.

The Canes wrap up the 8 game homestand looking to sweep the Preds.

Ned gets the start in goal, no other lineup changes.

For the Preds, Matt Duchene returns from injury for the first time since March 4. Erik Gudbranson, acquired from the Senators at the deadline will skate on the 3rd pair with Ben Harpur. Gudbranson had 1 goal, 2 assists in 36 games for the Sens.

I started mine and fell asleep before I posted it.

Saros is employing cheat codes: Force fields

Slavin scores before the end of period

Best first period in a while

Unbelievable 1st period was one of the most dominant performances of the season - too bad we only got one goal, but Saros was excellent. The Preds came back in the 2nd and the Canes came back down to earth, but it was still a solid game for the good guys. Glad to see Hakanpuck get his GWG for his new team - nothing bonds a new guy to a new team like scoring a key goal.

The Big Finn is easy to like! Great game and great post game interview! Kinda hope he is here for the long term plan.
With a scarcity of right handed dmen in the system and a reasonable contract, it should be doable. The only other right shot in the system is Joey Keane and the big fella makes less than him.

Sounds like a missed a good one last night. Love hearing that FNG got a goal.

Now onto a road trip from hell. Two vs Tampa and two vs Florida

Back to backs with Tampa too, Monday and Tuesday. But they only have 10 points from their last 10 games, onky Columbus has fewer points over that stretch.

Pretty good result, but fellas ... when you absolutely boatrace a team for the whole first period like that, you REALLY need to come out of it with something better than a 1 goal lead. That game got unnecessarily close. Nashville just can't figure out what to do with the Canes, can they? They've tried to skate up and down with them, tried to bully them, tried to jack up the forecheck, tried to trap them ... and thus far no dice on anything. Two more games left in this series, so I'm not saying they won't figure something out or catch Carolina on a bad goalie day or something, but woof. They have to be beyond frustrated.
