GDT: Canes v. Sharks 11/27 7:00

Our guys are such assholes.. I knew after the empty netter we'd turn it on even more and win because SJ wasn't playing worth a shit either. Teased my wife when a couple next to us left at 2-4 that they'd be sorry when we came back and win 5-4, and she said how we gonna do that? Because they're assholes who only play when they want to, that's why, lol

Tbf, I admire your optimism, but the sports books make a lot of money off of that kind of optimism.
 
We stunk in the 1st period and we dominated the 3rd (for like 6 minutes). Then the wheels fell off. People started leaving in droves after the Sharks empty net goal. We had played a pretty poor game by our standards for most of the game, but we really came alive in the last 1:40 of the 3rd. The crowd was amazing tonight and I can't help but believe the players built on that energy. This was one of the most frustrating, wonderful games that I've ever witnessed. Aho/Necas are our all-stars.
 
Svech threw his body around to pretty good effect tonight, but yeah, Aho and Necas are the stars right now.

When folks started leaving after the empty netter, I yelled at them to get back in their seats 'cause the boys are going to win this. They didn't listen, but I bet you that they are bragging about staying to the bloody bitter end in this one. LIARS!

Yeah, I had a feeling they'd get one of the goals back. The boys were TICKED after that quick empty netter. If they had hung their heads it would have been more tempting to take off. I had zero notions about walking out after a win though. That was straight up nonsense. Poor Reims.

So… I had this weird thing happen last night… I was watching the game and we are down 2 and fans are leavin the barn… and I was disappointed to see them leave but I kinda understood…
And it musta triggered some deep seeded PTSD in me cause I dreamt that in the next minute and change the boys went nuts and scored a pair to tie it and then Necas scored like another OT goal… and I’m like… “Oh snap, did I travel back to the Cardiac Canes days? Have I mastered travel in space and time to be able to see my beloved team scare the hell outta me by snatching victory from the jaws… no… from the BELLY of defeat?”

Then I realize that no… this is our current team and they don’t quit! Which means we absolutely need to get another player to make this team that much better… now I REALLY want Bo Horvat… but that is another rant for another day…

Bring on the Bruins! (But I beg you NHL Centre Ice… don’t make me have to listen to that PUTZ Edwards…)
