And Aho’s second had echoes of Brindy cashing in Ryan Miller’s turnover.Loved the irony of the 3-1 score vs. Edmonton. Aho feels like a man on a mission right now.
I think you meant Ty Conklin...And Aho’s second had echoes of Brindy cashing in Ryan Miller’s turnover.
LOL, I think you mean Dwayne Roloson!I think I am misremembering. I was thinking that the game where Ladd knocked out Markkanen was different. I do remember that I felt a bit guilty for celebrating the win.
No, Roloson played only 19 games that season. Im pretty sure Makkanen was their guy. Unless he was hurt going in. It’s all pretty fuzzy.LOL, I think you mean Dwayne Roloson!
All 3 goalies played that series. Roloson started game 1 and was injured. He was replaced by Conklin. But Markkenen played the next 6 games. No, Roloson played only 19 games that season. Im pretty sure Makkanen was their guy. Unless he was hurt going in. It’s all pretty fuzzy.
It was Roloson who was hurt on the play with Ladd. Conklin replaced him that game and gave up the goal to Brind’Amour. Makkanen then played out the rest of the series. No, Roloson played only 19 games that season. Im pretty sure Makkanen was their guy. Unless he was hurt going in. It’s all pretty fuzzy.
The Oilers traded for Roloson sometime after the All Star break that year and he carried them to the Finals after taking over for Markkanen. Conklin was their 3rd goalie and had no business playing in the freaking Finals, but they dressed him as the backup because apparently Markkanen had not reacted well to being benched. It was a credit to that Oilers team just how well they hung in there given their circumstances. Between their goalie problems and Buffalo's magically disappearing blueline group, the Canes got some serious breaks in the playoffs that year. But hey ... somebody gets the breaks EVERY playoff year. All 3 goalies played that series. Roloson started game 1 and was injured. He was replaced by Conklin. But Markkenen played the next 6 games.
