GDT- DUCKS @ CANES 5:00

I think those pairings after they were switched looked better. At least it's worth a try.
Faulk makes the same mistakes over and over and hangs his D partner out to dry. how many times is he going to go for that low percentage play on the boards at centerice and lose it? How many times is he going to get his blueline slapper blocked back into our zone with him out of the play?

Steal is bringing a physical game. I like his game this season.

Ryan... not good enough. that's where a #1 center would go... hard to blame him. he plays hard he just doesn't have the talent to offset his size.

Ryan is a no show in the slot and in front of the net for sure. I was wondering if some of these guys are so worried about goal scoring they forget to play defense, even in there own zone. Also notice a trend of handing the puck over with no attempt to make a play during line swaps. No effort at all to maintain possession.

Let’s see, compared to past teams, new coaches, new gm, all new players, except recycled Jwilli, but same old team, same old play. Passes to the skates, losing puck battles, losing 3 step races, etc.
imho it starts in raining camp. It as stated part of darlings problems may have been caused by his lack of preseason games.
Yeah, probably so. Again, imho it all started in training camp. I went to one practice. It was notable by a lack of effort. Maybe the ghost of lacko taco inhabits the pnc. I saw poor passing and poor/slow skating. What I didn’t see was a coach kicking butt over it. Note this was the practice of the non game group on the day of the first preseason game.
The canes are a mediocre team and will finish about .500.
Now canes, prove me wrong and make me eat my words.
