Didn't know Price was a product of Markov though. Also didn't know the goalie equipment shrinking would down Price like it has
 
Can't understand why they forgot to play good defense over the Christmas holidays. They kind of reverted to the same mistakes over the 8 game losing streak. It will be interesting to see if Julien can get them back on track before he loses the season altogether.
 
Not sure they forgot or ever learned. There was plenty of odd man rushes and turnovers during the Western trip but those were going in less often. The last second shot by the Flames who hit the post is a perfect illustration. Those were hitting the post then and are going in now. That's the biggest difference.

Team isn’t built for run and gun , we barely have 60 point players

With no elite front line talent we can’t play pond hockey and win .

Some of us didn’t want to pay this dumb money to a non elite goalie anymore

Right now we could get by with a Kuemper type

Yes and no. I think the team was more in control on the Western trip, thus Price was able to play his game. When the team is this bad, Price has no chance to win.

This also falls on Bergevin and Stephane Waite for seemingly being unable to identify NHL calibre goalies that can be signed as a back up. Millions under the cap after botching the Aho offer sheet and the best he can do is Keith Kinkaid. What a joke. Another season down the toilet because they're either too incompetent to find a back up or they're too scared to bruise Price's fragile psyche. On Twitter I was called uninformed for bitching about them saving cap space and that I should look at the long view because there are a lot of great prospects blah blah blah. Given the organization's penchant for screwing up player development, I won't hold my breath.
