Interesting tid-bit on player number selections and connections to their names.... One time Hartford Whaler, Neil Sheehy, wore number 0 and to this day is the only NHL player to do so. Sheehy stated that the number Zero signified the letter "O" that was dropped from his name when his family emigrated to the U.S. (O'Sheehy)
