A late start as the Canes look to put a stranglehold on the series.

No changes at practice yesterday, they’ll have a morning skate at 11:30. Will Janky play?

No forward changes for the Devils yesterday. Keefe has to be looking forward to last change to free his top 2 lines. Jonas Siegenthaler practiced for the first time since being injured in February. Brett Pesce had a rest day but looks to play with Hamilton again as neither Hughes or Dillon practiced.

New Jersey got away with Cholowski/Nemec in Game 2, but they sheltered the crap out of them. They'll need to push the envelope in Game 3 to even out the minutes so they can get the right combos of D group and forward lines to generate some offense. Up front, you'd figure Keefe is going to try and get his top line away from Staal, which is gonna mean KK's group will have to pull on their 2 way pants after spending 90% of their time in the offensive zone for the first two games. Aho's matchup will probably remain unchanged and that line got their boots moving in Game 2 after a bit of a quiet start. And given how much of an advantage Carolina has on the 4th line matchup, I'd guess Brind'Amour will throw that line out pretty regularly to start the game. You don't want to let a 2 line team get away with only having to play 3 lines, after all.

Two reminders ...

1. Remember how St Louis looked like road kill in those first two games against Winnipeg? Yeah, they threw in 7 goals last night and laughed their way to a Game 2 W. Teams are only dead when they actually die.

2. We're complaining about an 8pm start? Every night game will start at 8 once you make the conference championship round, which is where we'd love to be.

No lineup changes for the Canes, so Janky and Jost are out. Andersen didn’t skate but RBA confirmed him as the starter.

No shock there. Any changes you'd make would be in the bottom 6 and those guys have been kicking butt through two games. And have earned a chance to keep it up.

Devils come out strong. We had little going in the first 12 minutes. Not unexpected but would like to see us get our game going.
