I don't think Moulson will get $6M...closer to $5M which is feasible. Regardless I'm still on the Penner bandwagon to replace Raymond.

73 million dollar cap, with a pile of teams looking to spend some money in a limited free agent market.

I want to see one of two things replacing Raymond: Short term veterans or cheap kids.

Moulson is going to get a lot more than 4.5 million. Ryan Clowe was coming off of a season that saw him score 3 goals in 40 games and he signed for 4.25. Moulson will be coming into free agency having scored somewhere around 150 points over his last 180-190 games. Dude is going to get paid.

I think its more due the the trade rumours, Kadri is playing with a burr under his saddle. That's what makes him the most effective playing motivated and pissed off hockey, when he's on he''s running guys, chirping and making elite plays out there.

or, he's a young guy who hit a rough patch that also coincided with his grandfather dying.

the whole thing got blown way out of proportion. he had 10-15 bad games. take out that stretch and he's at a 75 point pace from the start of last year.

Include it and he's still at about a 70 point pace over that stretch.

was he playing poorly? yes.

but, like leafman maintained throughout.. he's a young guy and young guys sometimes have bad stretches. it jsut got blown way out proportion. kind of like when the 23 year old kessel went 100 shifts without a goal.

He was 12th last year.

I remember how just what 3 weeks ago, Brooks claimed no one wanted to give up anything for Kadri. He was worthless.

He's a few spots higher, the NHL has a few guys listed as a centre like Kessel who play the wing.
