No, at the right price though I'd like him to stick around.
I'm not sure he's gonna cost 5 million though. Plek had a few more things going for him when he signed that.
tough call.
and another tough call with Kuly. and Mac.
Yeah. Even if he turns things around somewhat in the second half, I wouldn't think that he'd want to sign a long-term deal coming off of this disappointing season. A one or two year deal at around what he's currently making (plus the 10% raise necessary for a qualifying offer, I suppose) would probably be in everybody's best interests, though I guess the question is, when is he eligible to become a UFA?very difficult to decide what to do with kulemin, though.
$4.5 is too much IMO. Don't forget they'll need to resign Lupul and replace Connolly as #1 center after next season too. Plus Kadri's deal will be up too. And Mac. And Gunnar. You don't want to commit too much money on secondary players.
If we can keep the cap hit down by giving term, Grabo is a super-elite 3rd line center, and I'd take him for that role any day.
Doesn't sound like there's much to worry about.Connolly missed practice this morning, and Wilson was not available to speak about that after practice. "Other team officials" said it was nothing more than just a maintenance day for the 'veteran' (30 yrs old) since there are 3 days in between games.
Connolly did not miss a shift in last night's game and finished with just over 16 of icetime.
