Golf Thread

I recently read where the canadian open may become prevalent again.
They are thinking if moving the masters date up and putting the canadian open back to the week before the US open. That would make it much more valuable in terms of play leading up to the US open.
Maybe tiger may decide to visit here again, instead of a 12 year lapse lol. I would enjoy watching him talking to himself and cursing when he has boggied twice and landed in the water ..... couldnt happen to a nicer guy lol

Which makes it the week before the US Open.

Much better spot than the week after the Open when everybody has to travel back across the pond.
It will be bigger butI think if they want it to be a huge event they will need to make it have US Open like conditions so players see it as a warm up for the US Open (many players take the week before the majors off).

I'm not sure Tiger does come as he seem to only come to Canada because he just wanted the notch on his belt.
 
What's with the vitriolic hatred for Woods anyway, Count?

And it also seems a pretty solid bet that, if his health continues to hold up like it did this year, Woods has at least one more major championship left in him.

I think that's a bit harsh. Don't get me wrong, the serial cheating on the wife and the DUI (which was probably a pain killer issue stemming from his ongoing back issues) exclude him from being considered an upstanding guy, absolutely. But the guy has done a pile of good in this world as well. His charitable foundation alone (an actual charitable foundation that receives high marks for financial transparency every year and has done a lot of good work for over 20 years now) should have provided enough goodwill to also disqualify him from being called a "shitty" human being, even if his failings leave us not considering him a "good" one either.

I do not have a hate on him like count.

For me the thing that got to me was him always being a big baby when losing. He has got a lot better at that since 2009 though.

I always thought it was funny when people said tiger cant win because he cannot out drive people anymore.

People forget that it was not his driving that made him win. It was his driving that let him win by 15 shots.
