Pressure is on our top line who got caved most of this playoff run

The hockey gods had it lined up perfectly for us this year

* Dobes played at an allstar level
* Bottom 6 carried the offence and vastly exceeded expectations

If our top line produced even 75% to expectations we are going to the finals , they got caved most of the playoffs

We didnt even get beat by our opponents top guns most nights making it even more disapointing

Top line wasn’t great, but neither were those of the opponents. Bottom 6 carried us, until thru didn’t and got caved too.

HuGo needs to get a 2C.
 
you simply have to look at who crushed us

when they asked Brind'Amour why this version of the Canes finally broke through, he didn't cite some tripe like "we learned valuable lessons from all our previous failures"

Instead he said

"We got better this year. We added some pieces (Ehlers, K'Andre) that have made us better to get us to this point.”

Top line was shit 15 points total 5 on 5 and a combined -27

We got 24 fucken goals from Newhook , Dano, Evans , Tex , Andy , and Dach and still lost 🤮 😲

i wouldn't trade Evans either....he's a bargain at 2.4M cap hit.....wins faceoffs....great 4C at that cap hit

But i agree with your assessment of trading ''friends''....
 
HuGo had their presser. They didn't say anything which is a credit to them.

There was a funny bit at the end where Gorton said Montreal media has picked up the rep as "diva" around the league

I chuckled when he said (paraphrasing here) “all players know this is the best place to be if they have the opportunity”.
