We will have some good players for him to play with here and good mentors.

Turcotte will be in the NCAA next year. Not strong enough to be in the NHL yet.

One year and then when he's 19, he'll be LA's #2 center as of day 1.

You don't "sign" with an NCAA team. You get a scholarship usually and you go to school. Caufield can leave after 1 year if he wants, they are not required to stay the full 4 years.
