Hamilton Bulldogs 2013-2014

This evening’s American Hockey League game between the Texas Stars and the San Antonio Rampage has been suspended due to unsafe ice conditions at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Texas led, 2-0, when the game was suspended with 12:01 remaining in the first period.

The American Hockey League will make an announcement at a later time regarding the completion of the game.

Crazy sh*t

This has been one of the worst winters in Texas in a while. The problem is we don't have the capacity to salt and sand. In addition we have all the tall overpasses or whatever they are called and they get pretty steep and the concrete on bridges is what ices first. They have been closing them down when it gets below zero. Then factor in motorists that have never driven on ice. There was mostly just fender benders though, didn't hear of any mass fatalities or anything.

With all the refineries in Texas, there is a huge emphasis on safety, so they tend to be overly cautious.

OH OK...I thought the problem was with the ice playing surface.

I don't get the chance to watch many Bulldogs games but they seem to be patterned after the parent club: try to win every game 1-0.

I guess Lefebvre is being groomed to become the next Therrien clone.

Coach will be judged on how prepared the kids are when they get called-up to the NHL...
