Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Good find. Hard hitting piece there that I had no idea about. Not sure what I'd do without you my man.

What a time to be alive. I can’t wait for the HBO biography series

I know if I were an investor in Tesla, and my CEO did something stupid like that, I would look to get out. For such a smart guy, he's such a moron.

I've never been enamored by the product, and his erratic behavior is a big drawback, not to mention the extreme volatility even at the best of times. A Tesla shareholder who is long must have an epically strong stomach.

Lots of top shelf bear porn this wkd

Warren “never bet against America” Buffett is sounding downright grim at Berkshire’s annual meeting. Unlike previous economic downturns, he’s not scooping up shares on the cheap, and is just stockpiling cash.

Georgia and South Carolina eased restrictions this wkd, but small biz are reporting almost zero activity

  • “We have not done anything, because we don’t see anything that attractive to do,” said Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
  • Berkshire had a record $137 billion in cash and equivalent instruments by the end of March, according to the company’s latest 10-Q filing.
  • Berkshire shareholders have been waiting for Buffett to deploy some of that cash, particularly after the coronavirus sparked a massive drop in stock prices.
  • “We are willing to do something very big,” he said. But at the moment, “we haven’t seen anything that attractive.”

That 30 point overnight bounce from the lows in SPX was too attractive to pass up as a short. Took some profits with a stop at breakeven for the rest.
