Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Speaking of debt. The SAFE banking act can't come soon enough.

Acreage Holdings Borrows $15 Million at 60% Interest Rate Secured by Assets in Three States

So about that...

The reason they chose that option? They can't do a bought deal at these levels since they'd go over the share limit in the deal with CGC. So what's the next option? Find someone willing to give them money? Can't find anyone willing? Well... 60% interest it is...

CGC should have gone with TerrAscend from the beginning. Looks like they already have a bit of a relationship with TER so I can see them pivoting to them entirely in the long long term. I can't imagine Acreage survives much longer.

Why do you think next week is going to be so special?

Also this week was quad witching (stock index futures, stock index options, stock options, and single stock futures all expire at once on Friday)

and it's a big one at that...

If they had a half decent business, you'd think they could do better than getting a loan at Money Mart

They were positioned extremely well a couple years ago but by all accounts management gave zero fucks and severely lagged behind as a result (Ianthus-esque). Sometimes in start-ups there is tremendous value in giving a single fuck. Because it's all about being first movers in that industry and we've now seen the value in that with the winners now clearly established.

Expiring options presumably wouldn’t shake the earth, so the potential here is for large scale exercise driving things up?

they often do, as option holders have to choose to exercise the calls/put by buying/selling stock.

Some dude from RBC (CH1, that you?) pulled the chute on CBII and tanked the price. Sold 85,000 shares. $9000 tanks the price 16%. What a stock.

No way. I'm long and strong. Not selling until I see 13c.

Well I now have more shares at $0.11. 12.5 or 13c is likely where I scale out back to just my core. It'll get there. Just low liquidity ridiculousness of a single RBC investor wanting out.

Very possible. That's a risk ol' Presty is willing to take.

It would be incredible deception by the company if there's something sinister considering their messaging has been nothing but pure optimism about their operations in 2020. If I get swindled, hats off to CB2 Insights. They got me. I won't even be mad.

Earnings look like they're about to finally be released AH. Profitable in April and May + free government money. And the restructured loan seems neutral at worst. Am I missing something? The price action is making me feel delusional about these guys...

Made a bit more dough being a bear overnight; the overnight session has been a lot easier to trade with smoother moves and less chop. Bulls did what was required of them and defended the 3060 area.
