Hey Nerds: Blockchain

This stuff is fucking crazy. I assume it must be extremely difficult to turn $3k into $120k on one options play? Otherwise you'd be doing it all day long? I don't even know how to process such small amounts turning into such huge amounts on a single trade.

you need a massive earnings move like CRM (Salesforce) going from 216 (before earnings) to 272 the next day.

options before big events are already expensive, so if he's playing WORK (Slack) (incidentally popped to over $34 after hours off of Zoom earnings)
he'd be buying the 45 calls (expiring next week) at 40c...and hope that WORK crushes their earnings and rises to $53 the next day. Then those 45 calls would be worth $8. So the trade would be a 20 bagger (.40 to $8).

Then, $5000 turns into 100K.

Obviously highly unlikely, but not impossible.

So basically you have to be willing to lose from $3k to $5k completely within a week or less to make a huge windfall like that?

One of my least favorite Curaleaf acquisitions, but can't argue with the results here. The brand is recognizable in the weed world and clearly Floridians are a bunch of pot head burnouts so good on 'em.

yes, hence the 1k to 100k to 1k account stories

you are better off selling options (aka the house) as most will expire to zero, but once in a while the house has to pay out, otherwise nobody will bet

even tho, ZM closed at $325 yesterday, someone still paid $1.85 for the 400 calls ($75 away). Now ZM is $435. So those calls will be 20x at least...but such a move is very rare.

CB2 Insights might see 15c. A break would be crucial.

13.5c wall busted through. Small wall at 14.5c now and then 15c is a biggie.

For months, CBII was trading like they were going bankrupt -- that's off the table now. They've been basing between .10 and .12 for several months. Finally breaking out.

Funny thing is, the profitability thing would have been priced in if it was a real stock. We knew they were profitable in Q2 for several months now. Sometimes illiquidity can be an investor edge with solid due dilligence. MSOs were an example.

CBII might trade 1M shares, which it hasn't done since October.
