Hey Nerds: Blockchain

I don't mind the fact that there is a temporary disconnect between its very strong business metrics and its perceived popularity.

PINS calls doubled; trimmed some. This is separate from my long term position.

MSOS etf holdings announced. At first glance, looks pretty good.

Too many dogs imo. Surprised to see the Cresco snub. Thought I'd see them as part of the big four. Or at least just behind the big three.

But anyway, I'd like to see less garbage in there personally but it is what it is.

This is pretty fascinating/scary

Insanity in Options
The convexity skew picture on big-name equities like Apple $AAPL has gone parabolically stupid. Let’s keep this simple and draw a conclusion.

Apple $AAPL Stock near $130

Jan $180 Strike Calls costs $4
Jan $80 Strike Puts costs $1

*Both options are $50 out of the money, approx data, BUT it is nearly 3x more expensive to buy upside risk in AAPL equity. Downside protection normally costs more than upside risk participation, NOT today. What does this mean?

I expected some 3rd tier names due to lack of companies... there’s probably too much of it.

My problem with the third tier names in this sector is that they aren't just bad... They're basically bankrupt.

Btw the reason for MSO weakness lately is trump starting to take over the betting lines. We were close to pricing in a Biden win at one point and now that's being taken away as 2016 ptsd has taken over the betting lines. I hope we drop more because I will accumulate hard. Odds right now (at worst) is a 68% chance of a Biden win. That's Nate's model, and he's known for hedging.

I'm going to play the odds and play a Biden win, with some caution of course.

Dropped my last trading bit of CB2 at 17c to get back to my core. Bought that bit at an average of 9.64c and sold at an average of 15.96c (first batch was sold several weeks ago at 14.5 cents and the rest was sold yesterday and the last bit today). Back to my much smaller core and long and strong.

Quick 65% on 90,000 shares. 30,000 shares left as my core. Just wanted to take some off because if she can't crack 18c and then again 20c, I fear we'll just fade as the earnings hype becomes a distant memory and the stock goes back to being an irrelevant liquidity trap. Need to get over that 20c hump before we see real action on this one I think. May happen and I still hope it happens, but we've seen this happen time and time again. It doesn't often end well even after positive earnings.

TER is acting like TRUL did a few weeks ago. Eventually it will come crumbling down but my dumbass did a terrible job timing when that would happen. Feels irrational considering the sector weakness but that's just my own bias talking. Impressive run.

Weekly RSI now at 82. 4 hour and daily RSI have been overbought for over a month now. Sometimes that just don't matter.

Other names:

Cresco Labs chart looks dreadful. Glad I exited when I did. GTII, CURA and TRUL still holding recent lows. If those break, we'll need to scout a higher low and we'll get a likely equilibrium after. Bull flags still in play with those names though until support breaks, unlike Cresco.

Nice job. If I had that many shares in CBII, I'd be taking some off as well.

I got into an average down fiasco back when it was at 11c. That was my first buy (11c), and my last buy was at 9c. I was unreasonably confident that their already announced profitability was not priced in.

Sloppy day. Fortunately, sold most of my PINS calls at the open, was reluctant, but glad I did as tech gave up all its gains. I even started accumulating some post election QQQ puts. Those look good.

Trulieve action weird. I feel like that Chart Man Dan whale is buying in enormous batches to create these huge green candlesticks. Either that or the ETF. Dan mentioned he is accumulating MSOs aggressively - both GTII and TRUL but he's more bullish on TRUL because of the blue sky effect.

TER came within a penny of 52 week highs; sold some a little lower as it was on oversized position I never trimmed.

I'm not doing much today in the overall market -- feels like it's too late to buy and too early to short. Holding call winners in ZTS and ADSK...and will just nurse those profits and raise stops.
