Hey Nerds: Blockchain

what a morning; cashed in the rest of the rest of my GOOGL and MSFT puts. looking for my next prey

not gonna do much until JPOW speaks later....will be looking for overreactions to his speech to position myself in SPY calls/puts

Aw xtrends made his account private. I'm guessing he received death threats for being a giant jackass. Oh well. I like looking at his account every day because I find his tap dancing fascinating. He belongs on CNBC with his hot takes.

starting to get a little bullish on Gold....so nibbled on some GDX calls expiring next week.

I always found the accuracy of his calls was related to the reaction he provoked....if most agreed with him, then his call wouldn't work.

Having said that, I don't really pay attention to him all that much. It's easier (and more profitable) for me to approach the mkt level to level and let the long term take care of itself.

ps. all out of V. waiting for JPOW

Is this a common thing with him, putting his account private and stuff? I've been tracking his responses and it looked like most people agreed and tbh so do I kind of. I'm definitely leaning bearish, though I'm always going to bet against a 60% downdraft on SPY. Must have been a comment or two that prompted making his account private.

I'm pretty sure he went private a few times before...but then reverted back to public shortly thereafter

I can post his tweets here if you want

GTII pumping pre-earnings always scares the poop out of me. Historically they often do this because they usually beat estimates in a bigly way. And then post-earnings historically they continue to blast off.

But this time around I'm not confident their earnings will be great... As I said, I am fairly certain they took a hit in Nevada, as AYR pointed out that Q4 slowed state-wide, and I believe (need moar disclosure from these fuckers) Nevada represents a good portion of their revenues. BUT Illinois grew pretty substantially in Q4 so in my mind that's maybe a wash. But man, it's hard to say. Don't think they had much in terms of store openings or cultivation expansions come online either so sub 10% qoq growth is probably likely.

Consensus analyst estimate is at 167.2m or 6% qoq growth. It would be entirely within Thumb's repertoire to randomly fucking smash that. I'm not quite sure where the growth would come from, but they are pretty secretive... Ben did say on the Q3 cc that he expects Q4 to be muted compared to Q3 so I probably agree with 165-170.
