Josh Anderson

The thing about Josh is that while he's having had a great start to the season, he usually disappears for three months and everyone chants "good riddance" so I hope HuGo are in no rush to talk turkey with his agent.

This is how you fk up your cap overpaying secondary support pieces

We all like Andy but he will be 34 and a swoop downward can happen at any time

The core players dictate your future not the depth fillers

If he walks so be it but you cant cave into a crazy contract or term for a 10-15 goal scorer
he will be 33 in May 2027

Somehow people missed the salary reset after Briere fucked the league structure.
And that coincided with news that the cap is likely to go up significantly over the next 3 seasons. And the Habs have done an amazing job with their cap for this exact reason. If you let Anderson go, you have to replace him... and if you're replacing him for less than $6m, you're likely getting an inferior player.

You're nuts. At this point a 3rd liner is getting $6m+. A big, fast, truculant warrior who shows up in the playoffs? I give him $6m with a smile.
Enjoy , you dont need to spend like a drunk on bottom 6

You can pick up Brazeau types every year in UFA on the cheap

Bunting was starving looking for work and just signed for 1.2

Your nuts for overpaying bottom 6 like other teams

You're stuck in 2025 economics. $6m is not spending like a drunk anymore. It's 5% of a $120m cap.

You can't find players like Brazeau every year. One team found a player like that. If you want to save money by taking swings on 26 year olds who have bounced around and never had any impact in the NHL so that you can have an extra $4m on unused cap space, good luck.
