Anyone catch SNL's Weekend Update, with the fat guy pretending to be the fat girl from Jersey?

That whole SNL was pretty good.. I don't like the guest.. but I found

Anyone notice how last week they made fun of Brittney Murphy and then this week she croaks??
 
The What up wit dat sketch is strangely hilarious every time.

Sedeikis in the red jogging suit and Hader always getting bumped and begged for a smile at the end are just awesome. That's a classic example of true comedy - taking something from absolutely nothing. I mean, just singing the same song and having people dance like idiots is pretty f-ing hilarious for some reason.
 
You know what though, there has to be some reward for teams in markets that do well, they should be able to have an advantage. I am so sick of crappy teams being able to throw the same money as teams that do well.

The new CBA should allow teams with money to at least buy out players and eat their mistakes. If you want to sign someone for 5 years at 8 million a season, and they don't work out for you... you pay the balance owing, and another team can pick him up for whatever they want.

You just know that if the Leafs signed Kovalchuk to one of those loophole contracts, we'd be the first team that the league would actually come down on. We'd be hit with a massive fine, have the contract nullified (and be barred from making Kovalchuk another offer), and forfeit our first round draft picks for the next five years.

And the Vancouver Canucks would file a tampering charge.
 
There really is only one factor that makes hockey successful. You have to have places that have an actual winter.

People who understand skating and winter appreciate hockey.

So only make hockey in the northern states.
 
The NHL is the only league that cares more for it's bankrupt, crappy franchises than it's top markets make help the league survive.
 
Kovalchuk's playing hardball because he really doesn't want to stay there. He's being wasted.

Bet you he'd accept less to play in a major market.

Hey, it's not unprecedented. The reason why we're watching the National Hockey League in the first place, instead of the National Hockey Association is because all the other NHA owners told Toronto's owner to **** off, started up their own league and then took all his players to play for their own Toronto franchise.
 
They had a recent interview with Kovy (I don't know where) but he mentioned how he likes to have his privacy. He likes Atlanta cuz he doesn't like to be recognized, especially now that he has a child.

I don't know how much of that is true, but when he said that I got a little pissed.
 
My gut tells me he's gonna re-sign there. I can't really see them losing him. They'll give him whatever he wants. And I think with all the Russkies they brought in, he'll be comfortable staying.

Hope to hell not, though.
