Leafs acquire Frederik Anderson from Ducks

Do they even still make beer? I haven't seen Labatt's in a store or at a restaurant in probably a decade.

Do you live in a hick town or something far away from civilization ? Labatts is still sold in many places. London Ontario has a friggin brewery. lol

I don't think they're Canadian owned though...

I think the reason I never see it anywhere is because I live in the exact opposite of a hick town (actually, as far as one can possibly get). :lol

I don't know anyone that drinks macro brews anymore.

Lebatt is owned by InBev no? I can't remember the last time I saw somewhere have Blue on tap, hell Canadian also seams to be less prevalent as Bud seams to have replaced it most places.

Is that cause you're a hipster ?

No, it's because I don't like beer that takes like piss that's been fermenting behind a radiator for three weeks. I'd agree with you that this insane overt hops craze needs to end though. It's getting pretentious.

Also, I don't wear skinny jeans, or have a neckbeard, or horn-rimmed glasses, and a beanie.

Aren't most of the large brewing companies in North and South America owned by major international entities like InBev and that Brazilian giant whose name escapes me?

Ya Labatts is way more likely to be in smaller hick towns than Toronto where you're a peasant if you don't drink the hoppiest pale ale brewed in some abandoned brick warehouse by a guy wearing a fedora.

Anticipated beforehand and addressed two minutes earlier:

Pretty much, the only major beer that is still independent is Moosehead I believe, maybe Keiths but less certain of that.

Generally I will drink an Amsterdam Blonde when it is available, I'm not into the hoppy beers.

I almost never drink Labatt's, but in regardless of who owns it, it is still considered a 'Canadian brand' ... and it still has the Canadian maple leaf in the logo I think?

I didn't know Lululemon is a Canadian brand ... and yes they are pretty big

Agreed. Probably the only hoppy beer I like is Amsterdam's Boneshaker. But it's getting ridiculous. Some beers you'll try just taste completely like hops. There's no balance to the product at all.

Like you, I'm more of a lager or pilsner guy myself, but I've been getting into stouts more recently. Mill St. has a really good one that tastes like vanilla.

Gotta go crisp and refreshing in the summer. Amsterdam Blonde, Mill Street Organic, I actually really dig the citrusy belgian style beers too in the summer but seems like they're all owned by the big brewers.

MGD and Corona will do just fine for sitting on the dock.
