Eh, I'm just underlining the core point. There isn't Willy offensive upside there. He's a guy who works off of other players with high level puck skill, not a guy who does the chance driving himself. Willy is the guy who does the chance driving.

Slafkovsky is a high end complimentary player. Throw him in the bucket with Knies, Hyman, prime Krieder, Tuch, Tom Wilson, etc. Lovely player to have, but there's no Willy offensive upside in there.

There are many who would say that Knies is/will be better than Willy

and there are many who have bumped their heads a few too many times.

The comparison to Willy really isn't worth debating. Eye test evaluation of skill is night and day between them. Not in the same league.

He's definitely both incredibly right and wrong at the same time. Habs were one of the worst playoff teams in the modern era but also 124 is dumb as fuck. We'll call it a wash.
