Leafs - Sens - Habs 2013-14

at first i was anti banning

but boy has this place been great since he was banned

+1, seemed extreme to me at first but it never escalated into more bannings and there has been way less of the same conversation being had over and over. Additional bonus is the The American Politics thread being nearly dead, which saved the brain cells I have no doubt I would have sacrificed reading it once I got bored enough to commit the minor mental masochism that was reading those arguments.

HA went MIA as well....that helps

Kb is/was just a contrarian. Whether or not he believed his own bullshit is the real question. You shouldn't ban a guy just because you don't like what he says though. Even the Nazi dude has the right to believe what he believes.

Personally I believe that everyone should have a voice. If you don't like it, don't subscribe to it. When you start censoring unpopular voices you venture down that slippery slope. I recognize that a message board isn't subject to freedom of speech laws, but at the same time, you're silencing voices / opinions that you don't like. Just like what the reds used to do.

teeds is another story. This is a guy that some of you have met, and obviously (sorry if Kessel has exhausted this word) needs help.

we are a community. We shouldn't be shutting out our brothers and sisters, especially if they need help or guidance.

that wasn't why he was banned

derailing every thread to be about him was why he was banned IMO

No, he was banned because there are a handful of cry babies that bitched until the mods were forced / convinced to take action.

It's not too hard to figure out.

you couldn't be more wrong on this.

those two brought nothing to the table and existed solely to draw attention to themselves, insult people, troll, and take over every thread with the same repetitive bullshit. This has been proven beyond all doubt to everyone here....except you apparently.

this isn't about some big humanistic principle or anything. it's simply that every community has rules and laws, this one being no exception. they were given miles and miles and miles of rope -- several years' worth. Even invited back again after being banned, multiple times. There is no other message board I have ever encountered that would have come close to the leniency and multiple chances to not act like a jackass granted to those two. None. They both would have been permabanned ages ago.

Wow, you are as wrong as you can be, and I have to wonder why you stick up for such an ass? Is it because at heart you're a bully yourself? I don't know, but the fact that you think he's useful in any way makes me wonder a bit.

KB had no interest in community. His private message log is quite enough evidence of that.

I still recall last playoff where he whined and bitched about me deleting his trolling posts. He actually thought he was punishing us by saying, because I deleted his post, he wouldn't post on the Canadiens' board again.

You really should unban kb. It's actually more disturbing (to me) that someone here cried loud enough to get it done than anything he ever wrote was.

Nah. I'm pretty easygoing as far as this stuff goes but KB was terrible for this board. Here's what would usually happen:

Thread on something totally un-Sens related, probably just prospects or something:
Discussion starts, nothing too bad.
KB comes in, raves about how we couldn't be more wrong and how Senators prospects are infinity times better (No one has even mentioned the Senators at all in this thread).
Thread gets derailed and becomes all about KB.

It happened In. Every. Thread. We had Leafs gameday threads that weren't about the Senators become all about KB for no reason.
And the American and Canadian politics threads were the same thing. KB would turn it into something about teacher's unions or the Jewish World Review or whatever instead of just trying to navigate the topics. It was just senseless and unneeded.

At least teeder was nuts and the shock value was somewhat entertaining at times before threads got off the rails. KB had no redeeming value at all.

Part of the reason posters like kb and teeds are so destructive is because posters here feed the trolls... just sayin

That's what keeps'em coming back. Ignore them and they go away.

the problem is ... it only takes 1 out of a 100 ....and it starts
