Price and 2006 were okay.
Habs have always found good players after the first. Subban, Gallagher, Markov, etc. But holy crap have they sucked in the first round.

2006? you mean 2007 as in 2006 we took the guy I proclaimed a bust the second his name was called

Obviously we had some decent first round picks along the way (1984, 1987ish, 1993, 2005, 2007) but overall it's been abysmal.

84 with Svoboda and Corson was good, Richer later on, 1987 took Cassels who had a somewhat decent career,

1983 bust first round in Turcotte but got Momesso, Lemieux and Roy so overall good

1985, 86, 88, 89, 90, 91 and 92 were disasters

Roy was 1984. Great year for us.

1987 was a fantastic draft. Cassels who we stupidly gave away, Leclair, Desjardins, Schneider.

forgot Roy was a late bday so he was drafted a year later

we gave up Cassels to Hartford for nothing/little iirc

I remember Schneider played with us as an 18 year old for part of the year and Desjardins made the team as a 19 year old the next year.
 
For those interested, Boston U is playing Northeastern in the Beanpot finals.
