Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Over the last 18 games he's been more productive than PK. He has really worked hard on his defensive game as well. Still wonder with his size if he will ever be a permanent NHLer.

he needs to keep playing and learning the game...has to use his head more to compensate for his lack of size/strength.

If you look at the Hammer lineup, the first 23 players on the scoring sheet are in the plus or at even. That says a lot on Guy Boucher's work.

I hope we don't see him until next season.

Isaac, have you not seen what rushing prospects has done????

Each player is different...it would not hurt to give him a chance for 5-6 games to challenge him and reward him for his play and hard work so far...

I'm watching the stream of this game and I just saw an awesome shift.

Jack Skille tries to make a move with the puck around PK and he just lays his ass on the ground. Then as the puck goes back up, Conboy scores.

I understand, but there's no point in it.

Keep him in Hamilton so that he can keep his attention on improving himself instead of helping a hopeless team that's going nowhere.

'Dogs won 5-0.

Stewart (5th), Stevenson (3rd), Trotter 2 (21st + 22nd) and Conboy (4th) with the goals.

Pacioretty and D'Agostini each had an assist.

edit: errr, Sanford had the 25 save shutout.

I disagree, I strongly believe in the "dangling a carrot" system of management - people in all walks of life need to feel a sense of purpose, small rewards to ackowledge progression have a considerable effect on longterm (continued) progression.

As I suggested last month, 5-6 game stint @ the end of Jan would have a two-fold effect - inject energy to a desperate team & provide a humbling experience to good albeit young, prospect who just may have started getting bored with AHL competition. That's not to say Subban has bad attitude or any negative connotation, it's human nature, for those who are very good at what they do, they constantly need to be challenged, to keep elevating their game to levels even they didn't know they possessed. Playing for a short timeframe @ the NHL level, against bigger, stronger, faster opposition will challenge Subban & provide him with an idea of the specific areas of his game that need to be improved upon. It also just might a little extra energy boot to a team that seems lost...

The Bulldog's game is being streamed right now for anyone interested.

We're playing the Milwaukee Admirals which is Nashville's farm team.

Yeesh.

Ben Guite just cross-checked Brock Trotter in the face, now the 'Dogs are on a 5min PP.

Convo with MaxPac at the first intermission, D'Ago at the second intermission.

MaxPac summary

-Sort of surprised he made the Habs teams because a "few players didn't show the coaches what they could do."

-Says he needs to get his confidence back to get back to the Habs.

-Also said that the biggest difference between the AHL & the NHL was that in the NHL you don't have that extra half second to make your play. (duh)

Frederic St-Denis makes it 3-1.

Assisted by MaxPac & Ryan White.

Man, the announcer has to be dullest mother****er I've ever heard. He sounds so bored.
