I think its because the Dogs have more depth than most other AHL teams.

I disagree, I strongly believe in the "dangling a carrot" system of management - people in all walks of life need to feel a sense of purpose, small rewards to ackowledge progression have a considerable effect on longterm (continued) progression.

As I suggested last month, 5-6 game stint @ the end of Jan would have a two-fold effect - inject energy to a desperate team & provide a humbling experience to good albeit young, prospect who just may have started getting bored with AHL competition. That's not to say Subban has bad attitude or any negative connotation, it's human nature, for those who are very good at what they do, they constantly need to be challenged, to keep elevating their game to levels even they didn't know they possessed. Playing for a short timeframe @ the NHL level, against bigger, stronger, faster opposition will challenge Subban & provide him with an idea of the specific areas of his game that need to be improved upon. It also just might a little extra energy boot to a team that seems lost...

The Habs are a cancer, why would you want to spread it to PK. Hoping Pax doesn't infect anyone...sounds like he can be salvaged.
