Looking beyond the "Trade," what's still be done?

Re: Looking beyond the "Trade," what's still to be done?

Because when you have a "look at me" attitude people look at you alot, and not only just when you do something good.

For me, the one thing about Subban's game that I was growing to dislike immensely was his knack for taking stupid, undisciplined penalties. Sure, some of them were BS calls (BS standing for "Because Subban") where he was being picked on because of who he was, but the vast majority of the penalties he took were deserved.

It's pretty funny reading comments from people claiming that they were sick of Subban (the best player on the team not named Price), all in attempts to be happy with MT's influential decision to have him moved.

This is a good case study on how well written key messages works for governments and big corporations.

I wasn't sick of him. I merely point out that he took dumb penalties at inoportune times which I found vexing.

The only thing I'm sick of is talking about the trade in every thread on this forum. The poster who started it specifically asked for us to look beyond the trade but nobody seems to want to do that. They'd rather piss and moan about how much they hate it. I prefer to concentrate my thinking on players who are going to be wearing the CH this fall, not on players who used to wear it.

You can`t count me in there ;)

This is pretty much the best explanation of things i can find.

Except when Brady did miss an entire season Cassels stepped in and they went 11-5. The team stepped up. There were no distractions, and the players rallied around each other and played as a unit...perhaps if that had not happened the Pats would have learned things about player(s) that gave them reason to question said player(s) going forward.

For whatever reason though, when 76 made a mistake, it made national headlines.

Crosby acting like a baby in the playoffs made headlines over and over again. Some questioned whether he should be traded as a result. Kessel was ripped apart and traded, so was Seguin...it happens, but in PKs case some people feel it's racially motivated.

11-5 missed the playoffs.

The same team went 16-0 just one year later indicating there was still a 5 game difference to not having Brady.

Seeing as crosby and kessel just won the cup and Seguin was a horrible trade that has gifted the stars a franchise centre while providing little return to boston... im not sure this is a point in favour of trading subban.

Manning was injured and Colts went 1-15.....multiple examples could be given

I know the line on here is that Romo is the worst QB in NFL history but with him in 2014, Cowboys were 12-4, without him for most of last year, went 4-12 (and he won 3 of the four games he started)

Patriots have a quality coach who was able to adjust to the loss of Brady. We are well aware of the limitations of the individual currently gazing off in the distance behind the Montreal bench.

Romo in past 5 years, when healthy, was top 5-7 in NFL....he puts up great numbers....and Cowboys would have made SB if not for getting screwed in playoffs 2 years ago....i have no doubt that they would have beaten Seahawks in Conference Finals (correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that was the year they got screwed against Packers, no ?)
