I don’t at all like Lilley, but I happen to agree with him here.
If freedom of religion is a thing in Canada, it’s a thing for all the hateful, bigoted religious people I dislike, too

"Christian worship songs"
I mean, we've had zero problems banning muslim clerics from the country for preaching more or less right out of the quran. There's all sorts of hateful shit in the Bible, and they can fuck their freedom of religion if their "songs of worship" are discriminatory.
You're free to believe whatever hateful regressive bullshit you want. You're not free to discriminate against others openly in public. I keep hearing about this slippery slope thing, but it only ever seems to slide in one direction.
Wrong.
This clown wasn't here to worship anyone but Trump. It was a political grift disguised as a religious revival. He never should have been allowed into the country to begin with.
Religion played no part in any of this.
I wouldn't lower myself.I assume you have attended his concerts.
And that IS what this dude stands for, and what he's actively campaigned for. The idea that the separation of Church and State should be eliminated, and that America and Canada (since he's repeatedly supported Trump's annexation talk) should be ruled by a fascist theocracy where his particular flavour of evangelical Christian nationalism is the state religion and law of the land.
So..:he shouldn’t be allowed to sing songs in a church that invited him? Are you going to delete all their playlists too?
Has he called for violence against groups based on race/religion? Protested their businesses? Sung his songs outside mosques and synagogues?
Cause Montreal had let all that stuff go, so to come down on some religious nut singing songs about Jesus inside of a church is hard to reconcile with that.
