It is. But the reason the excuse is so convenient is because the government of Israel are no longer "the good guys". Bibi is making life needlessly difficult for every Jewish person around the globe because they are inevitably lumped in with whatever he does.
And there are several Jews who are brave enough to call bullshit on Netanyahu, even at the risk of being shunned by other Jews. Bernie, for one, knows a fascist when he sees one and just because Bibi is also Jewish doesn't get him a pass.
My takes on Israel have zero to do with ethnicity or religion (all religions are bullshit as far as Im concerned) My takes regarding Israel are 100% POLITICAL, nothing more, nothing less. Bibi could be an Episcopalian for all I care. Hes a fascist. Thats all that matters.

At the Rolling Stones concert at BC Place last year, Mick made a passing reference to the former PM: "We love your Mr. Trudeau" which got a fair bit of jeering from the crowd (I was there & can attest to that). I think he might've been better off saying: "We love your mom Justin".
