Sometimes the absolute risks of something like driving 110 vs 100 are so small that not even thinking about them will extend your life more than stressing about them.

Raising the limit to 110 works if you start ticketing above that. If you are caught going 115, you get a fine. 110 at least is reasonable enought that people can go that and that is what the roads are made for. 100 is just unreasonably slow that you go over the limit anyways for those roads.

I stress about them as a matter of public policy, not personal risk. It won't change how I drive. My personal math is that I'd rather see 100 fewer people die on our highways per year. 100 fewer funerals, 100 fewer grieving families, etc. Over something as trivial as a few minutes in travel time.
